Choose the Plan That’s Right for You
Carlisle offers both an IRS Qualified Health Savings Account-eligible HDHP and a Carlisle Medical HDHP without an HSA. If you are a Medicare recipient or have another first-dollar benefit plan, you are not eligible for employer and employee account contributions as defined by the IRS. However, you may enroll in the HDHP without a Health Savings Account.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
The HDHP offers you the option to choose any provider when you need care. However, in exchange for a lower per-paycheck cost, you must satisfy a higher deductible that applies to almost all health care expenses, including those for prescription drugs. Once your deductible has been met, you will continue to pay coinsurance until your out-of-pocket maximum is met, then the plan pays 100%.
Save when you use in-network providers
In-network providers offer the highest level of benefits and lower out-of-pocket costs. Network providers charge you reduced fees but providers outside the plan’s network set their own rates, which means you may have to pay the difference if a provider’s fees are above the Reasonable and Customary (R&C) limits.
Annual Account Contributions for the Carlisle HSA Plan

High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with Health Savings Account (HSA)
Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are tax-favored individual savings accounts established to pay qualified medical expenses of the HSA owner and family members throughout your lifetime. It is your personal health savings account that you take with you.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) are employer-funded plans that reimburse employees on a tax-free basis for eligible health care expenses while in the Carlisle HRA medical plan.
